1st Autumn Show Success

autumn15_38Sunday 4th October, 2015

It was lovely to see so many people at the show on a sunny Sunday in October –  a real sense of community spirit in the sunshine.  Our first Autumn show was a huge success with thanks to Gill Case for organising and all those who offered up their time to make it such a success.

Outstanding Plot Awards
Guest judge John Negus was very impressed with the site overall and said many of the plots were making great progress in such a short period of time. There were 8 plots which stood out for John and they will be awarded with a rosette.

  • Plot 16: A good plot with good raised beds.
  • Plot 26: Good sized pumpkins and leeks.
  • Plot 42: A good plot. This person has started to grow produce while working on the rest of there plot to get it ready for more produce. This plot shows good promise.
  • Plot 47: Great plot with good neat edges and a variety of produce. It is a mirror to plot 48.
  • Plot 48: Great plot with good neat edges and a variety of produce.
  • Plot 81: Good plot and the only one to use the correct netting for their cabbages.
  • Plot 93: Great plot with so much enthusiasm and encouragement.
  • Plot 108: Great plot with good neat edges and good order with a good variety of produce.
